Joni

"My start in the Travel Industry came straight from school in New Zealand, and with a love for seeing new places I soon found myself working in a Travel Agency in Australia before making my way to the UK a few years later. It was meant to be a working holiday to explore some of the UK and Europe, however I have now spent over a decade in Devon and feel quite at home here, plus it has much easier access to the Caribbean and many other destinations too!"

Q&A

Memorable Experiences
Snorkelling with the sea turtles, rum punch and the best BBQ lobster lunch on a little uninhabited island in the stunning Tobago Cays (the Grenadines). Another would definitely be snowboarding between the trees at Whistler, Canada.

Favourite Places
Grenada is a great island to visit as it is a little "off the beaten track" so feels authentically Caribbean.  It has great restaurants, beautiful beaches and mountain scenery to explore too. As far as hotel locations, Anse Chastanet in the south of St Lucia is somewhere I will always want to return to, the stunning views, pretty beaches to snorkel and acres of natural forest surroundings.

Where Next?
Either back to Barbados cause we love it and my husband would like to surf there again, or possibly Mauritius to see somewhere we have not been before.

Top Travel Tip
Try to get out on a boat or take a local tour. Don't be afraid of getting a little lost when out exploring, sometimes you can come across something interesting - or ask a local for advice on where to go and what to do.

Three things I couldn’t travel without
Swimwear because I am not on holiday until I have been in the water, my phone for the camera and google earth maps.
