For those who are happy to travel to more than two destinations, you can experience a range of landscapes and cultures by spending a few days on several different islands.
The popular islands of Barbados, Antigua and St Lucia are great starting points as all three have plenty to offer visitors and act as a gateway to other destinations throughout the Caribbean. Island chains such as the Grenadines and the British Virgin Islands are also great for island hopping holidays, promising great variation even within a relatively small area. The former is a beautiful archipelago consisting of larger islands such as Bequia and Canouan, private islands including exclusive Mustique and numerous uninhabited islands and cays. Ferries and speedboats move between the islands, plus many of the inhabited islands have small airports which make transport relatively straightforward.
