Island hopping is a great way to experience two or more destinations in one holiday. It is something travel specialists often do when they can't decide which of our incredible properties to visit! Both the Caribbean and Seychelles lend themselves very well to island hopping holidays, with regular flights or ferries between destinations. It is also possible to combine certain Maldivian islands for a two-centre experience.
There really are so many different possibilities for an island hopping holiday in the Caribbean. The larger islands are a great starting point and work well as a combination with one of the smaller islands. Some of our favourite combinations include Barbados and The Grenadines, Antigua and Nevis and St Lucia and Grenada. The Caribbean is such a diverse region, with each island offering a unique character, landscape and culture, and there is no better way to experience this than with an island hopping holiday!
The Seychelles is perhaps the ultimate island hopping destination. The largest island of Mahé is an ideal starting point for any first time visitor to the Seychelles, and this can easily be combined with the second largest island of Praslin or smaller islands such as Silhouette Island. The islands are well connected with a regular ferry and domestic flight service, meaning you can easily experience two or three islands in one trip.
The resorts we feature in the Maldives all occupy their own private island, and it can sometimes be hard to choose between them! Though it is often not possible to move between islands in the Maldives without heading back to Male, there are a handful of island resorts that work very well as a twin centre holiday. For example why not combine at stay at Sun Siyam Vilu Reef with Sun Siyam Iru Veli, or perhaps split your holiday between Dhawa Ihuru and Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru?
