Set on a quiet, peaceful stretch of beach on the southwest coast of Praslin Island, Coco de Mer is an intimate Seychelles hotel that offers guests comfort and seclusion. Taking its name from the unique Coco de Mer palm tree that can be found in the nearby forests, this property is built on extensive grounds with breathtaking views of the surrounding islands, forested mountains and Indian Ocean.
Accommodation in the main area of the hotel comprises a selection of charming rooms with a contemporary, tropical décor. We particularly like the hotel’s junior suite wing, The Black Parrot Suites, which enjoys an enviable setting on a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea. This area also boasts its own pool, bar, lounge and terrace exclusively for the use of junior suite guests.
As far as we are concerned, there is nowhere better to enjoy a sundowner than at the end of a jetty that extends into the Indian Ocean, under the shade of a canvas designed to look like a sail. Coco de Mer has two restaurants, both of which offer informal dining accompanied by stunning ocean views.
Coco de Mer offers bicycles and a free shuttle bus service so that guests can access the many small beaches that form part of Anse Bois de Rose Bay. Guests can also take part in guided nature walks where they can explore the flora and fauna of the island. The hotel’s Waterfront Spa is also well worth a visit, offering some of the best panoramic ocean views we’ve seen in a spa from its floor to ceiling windows.
Coco de Mer leaves you feeling relaxed from the moment you walk into the reception area. Everything about it is gentle and the staff are amazing, which is probably because some of them have been there for 20 years! Lunch at Hibiscus was delicious and the setting, right over the sea, was beautiful.
All rooms are spacious, modern and comfortable and offer air conditioning and ceiling fan, satellite television, tea and coffee making facilities, mini fridge, hairdryer and in-room safe.

Children: Children are welcome all year round at Coco de Mer, however those under 14 are not permitted in the Black Parrot Suites as this is an adult only area

This restaurant has private outdoor dining decks as well as an ocean view terrace and hosts live entertainment twice per week
