Accommodation at Shangri-La Le Touessrok is found in three distinctive areas. Coral rooms are set on a quiet stretch of beach, whilst Hibiscus rooms are found at the heart of the resort on a sheltered stretch of beach. The most exclusive accommodation can be found in the Frangipani wing, where suites come complete with butler service and enhanced amenities and benefits, including the option of an a la carte breakfast at Republik Beach Club. Families can book family suites comprising two interconnecting rooms in any section of the resort.
Guests at Shangri-La Le Touessrok are spoiled for choice when it comes to dining options. A personal favourite of ours is Kushi, a Japanese restaurant with a sushi bar manned by a master sushi chef. Another dining experiences include authentic Indian and Mauritian cuisine and barbecues on the exclusive Frangipani island accompanied by live music. Guests can also enjoy lunch at Ilot Mangénie on Ile aux Cerfs island, which can be reached by boat and offers a tempting range of seafood platters and wood-fired pizzas.
Shangri-La Le Touessrok’s extensive facilities and sprawling layout means that there is plenty of space and something for everyone to enjoy. Couples can relax at the adult’s only swimming pool or indulge in a spa treatment, whilst children are well catered for with one of the finest kids clubs we have seen on the island. Keen golfers can enjoy complimentary green fees at two of the most spectacular golf courses on the island: Ile aux Cerfs Golf Club and Anahita Golf Club.
I was really impressed by how well the resort caters to both families and couples, with secluded adults only areas but also a children's club with fantastic facilities. There is so much space here that I can't imagine the resort ever feeling busy. The highlight of my stay was sampling an incredible selection of sushi at Kushi, all freshly prepared in front of us by a master sushi chef.
The resort's 189 rooms, suites and three private villas offer a contemporary island-chic style complemented by touches of local character. All offer uninterrupted views of the sparkling Indian Ocean from their balcony or terrace and feature spacious bathrooms with a walk-in shower and separate bathtub, king size bed, in-room seating area, bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, beach bag, TV, Wi-Fi, telephone, safe, tea and coffee making facilities and a mini-bar.

Dining: Stays at Shangri-La Le Touessrok are on a bed and breakfast, half board or full board basis. Le Bazar is open for breakfast and dinner and serves international buffets in a cosy and casual setting. Kushi is open for dinner and serves Japanese cuisine, with a sushi bar manned by a master sushi chef. Safran specialises in Mauritian and Indian cuisine and is open for dinner. Republik Beach Club & Grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers Mediterranean cuisine, as well as barbecues and theme nights. Ilot Mangénie Beach Restaurant is 10 minutes by boat from the resort and is open for lunch, specialising in seafood platters and woodfired pizzas
