Rooms across all categories are comfortable and contemporary, with luxury amenities and smart room control features. We particularly liked the adjustable mood lighting and automated curtains! For families, the residences and villas offer two-bedroom accommodation options, whilst the penthouses boast three spacious rooms.
LUX* Grand Baie’s innovative design can also be seen across its selection of restaurants and bars. Beach Rouge has a Mediterranean beach club feel, with a resident deejay adding to the atmosphere in the evening. Ai KISU is a stylish Asian restaurant, where an open kitchen showcases traditional Warayaki straw fire cooking. Our personal favourite though is Bisou rooftop bar, where you can enjoy a colourful cocktail accompanied by Indian and Levantine cuisine. Complete with an infinity pool and stunning sunset views, this restaurant is iconic. For a treat at any time of day, guests can visit Maison LUX* to sample delicious pastries and patisseries, whilst night owls will enjoy the nightclub at Ai KISU.
LUX* Grand Baie boasts extensive wellness and fitness facilities. LUX* Me Spa offers a range of therapies and treatments, complemented by hydrothermal baths and a mind and body studio. Those looking to keep fit will enjoy the Indian Ocean’s first ever rooftop fitness centre and the resort’s dedicated cycle studio. Younger guests are well catered for too with a kids club, activities for teenagers and even kids’ spa treatments.
LUX* Grand Baie really is unlike anything else in Mauritius at the moment. When you walk into the lobby you are instantly blown away by the striking and innovative design which is carried through to the rooms and restaurants. A particular highlight of my stay was nibbles and cocktails at Bisou, the rooftop restaurant and bar. This is the perfect spot to watch the spectacular Mauritian sunset and I loved the laid back vibe around the infinity pool in the evening.
The suites, residences and villas at LUX* Grand Baie are contemporary and luxurious, with a neutral colour palette and a touch of minimalism. The residences and villas offer a little more independence, 24 hour butler service, private pools, modern kitchens and comfortable living space. All accommodations feature a furnished balcony or terrace, king-size bed, pillow menu, bathroom with shower and standalone bath, smart room controls, TV, air conditioning, mini-bar and high speed Wi-Fi.

Children: Children are welcome at LUX* Grand Baie. The PLAY club is open into the evening and caters for children aged between 3 - 11 years. Studio 17 offers a parent-free hangout area for older children between 12 - 17 years of age. Babysitting is also available upon request.

Beach Rouge Restaurant and Beach Club: offers dishes inspired by Mediterranean flavours and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Ai KISU is open for dinner and boasts a show stopping open kitchen, featuring dishes from Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia. Bisou Restaurant and Bar serves Indian and Arabic dishes in a stunning rooftop setting and is open for lunch and dinner. Maison LUX* is located in the hotel lobby and serves coffees, pastries and sweet treats, cocktails and liqueurs throughout the day and into the evening. The Culinary Laboratory is where new dishes are developed and offers a Chef’s Table and wine tasting. ICI ice cream parlour serves a creative range of ice creams throughout the day.
