Welcome to Reethi Faru

Reethi Faru Resort offers contemporary style and authentic Maldivian charm in equal measure. Located within Raa Atoll, the resort occupies a tropical island with lush vegetation surrounded by beautiful white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and a house reef teeming with marine life. The resort has implemented various conservation initiatives to maintain the area’s natural landscape as well as the introduction of artificial coral nurseries and a Manta ID project in collaboration with the Manta Trust.

Villas built with conservation in mind

Accommodation at Reethi Faru is in comfortable detached villas which have been built in a traditional style with conservation in mind, using locally sourced materials and furnishings in natural colours. Garden and beach villas blend in with their surroundings and use trees for shade, whereas water villas are set on stilts over the lagoon with spectacular views. There are several accommodation options for families, and some villas boast a Jacuzzi on their private deck for added luxury and relaxation.

Superb range of dining options

Reethi Faru offers a range of dining options thanks to six restaurants and six bars providing varied settings and culinary experiences. The resort’s main restaurant serves buffet-style meals, while other dining venues include an over-water restaurant offering a la carte dining, an open-air grill restaurant set right on the beach and a dedicated vegetarian and vegan restaurant. We’d highly recommend opting for the Dine Around All Inclusive plan, as this allows you to take advantage of the varied dining options on offer.

Days at Reethi Faru can be spent relaxing by the infinity pool overlooking the beach or enjoying the wellness facilities at Coconut Spa, tucked away amidst the island’s lush coconut groves. For those keen to get out on the turquoise waters, an excellent watersports centre offers everything from paddle boarding to parasailing. The waters surrounding the island are also fantastic for snorkelling and scuba diving, with courses available at the PADI dive centre, as well as excursions to nearby dive sites.

Our opinion

Reethi Faru is an excellent resort with beautiful beaches, spacious rooms and lots of leisure facilities. Beach villas are extremely private, while many villas are superb for families. With plenty of land sports as well as the usual water-based activities, the resort is ideal for those looking to stay active.

All villas are traditional yet designed with a colourful flare and feature air-conditioning, ceiling fan, telephone, minibar, safe, TV, Wi-Fi, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer and furnished outside decking area.

Location: Reethi Faru is located in the Raa Atoll, reached by a 45 minute Seaplane transfer from Male

Vakaru is the island's main buffet restaurant serving international cuisines and live cooking stations for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dhiyavaru Bar and Restaurant is set over the lagoon on stilts and is open 24 hours a day serving late night snacks and comfort food. Huvandhu Garden offers set dinner menus served in intimate ocean view cabanas set in the gardens. Reethi Grill is open for lunch and dinner and is a casual beachside restaurant, serving a range of dishes from their Tandoori Oven, Pizza oven and live grill. Veggie and Vegan is open for dinner and serves a variety of meat-free dishes. Raalhu Café is a poolside venue serving snacks and laid back lunches
