Villas with rustic Maldivian charm

Reethi Beach Resort occupies the beautiful and lush Fonimagoodhoo Island and is surrounded by a stunning lagoon and white sandy beach. Rustic villas are either set amid tropical foliage, on the white sandy beach or built on stilts over the lagoon. All are built from natural materials in a typical Maldivian style, with charming interiors and outdoor seating areas allowing guests to make the most of their beautiful surroundings.

From sumptuous buffets to gourmet dining

Five restaurants at Reethi Beach Resort offer everything from indulgent buffets to gourmet dining. For an intimate dining experience on the beach, try Saima Garden, or to sample some delicious grilled seafood, head over to Reethi Grill, where you can enjoy dinner under the stars. Also be sure to head to the Sunset Bar to enjoy a sundowner - this rustic beach bar is one of the most beautiful spots on the island.

Superb snorkelling and diving

The wonderful house reef is under 100 metres from the island and provides the perfect opportunity for some underwater exploring. Reethi Beach’s dive school is a PADI 5 star centre and arranges trips to nearby dive sites, while the water sports centre offers a range of motorised and non-motorised activities. Back on dry land, days can be spent relaxing by the intimate swimming pool, and be sure to visit the beachfront spa, where skilled Balinese therapists offer a variety of massages and treatments.

Our opinion

Reethi Beach boasts a picture postcard location. The lagoon is a perfect spot for a swim - even better for a dive, and the beach is so picturesque you could sit on the white sands all day.

Villas at Reethi Beach are cosy and comfortable, located either within the tropical gardens, on the beach or on stilts over the ocean. All have natural, Maldivian style décor and are equipped with air conditioning and a ceiling fan, safe, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, telephone, television and hairdryer.

Reethi Sunrise Villa

Located on the sunrise side of the island amid tropical vegetation, but just steps from the beach and close to all main facilities

These detached villas are located on the west of the island with sunset views and boast a furnished terrace with traditional Maldivian swing just outside on the sand

Location: Reethi Beach is located in Baa Atoll, reached by a 35 minute seaplane transfer from Male

Children: Children are welcome all year round, however we feel this resort is more suited to couples or friends travelling together

Dining: Stays at Reethi Beach Resort are on a bed and breakfast, half board, full board, all inclusive or all inclusive premium basis. The Rehendhi Restaurant is the main buffet-style restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reethi Grill is open for dinner and offers al fresco dining on the beach, specialising in Tandoori, grilled seafood and wood fired pizza. Moodhu Bar and Restaurant is an a la carte restaurant open for lunch and dinner and built on stilts over the lagoon. Alifaan Restaurant is a casual poolside venue serving light meals throughout the day. Saima Garden is a romantic open air restaurant open for dinner, with just five tables tucked away amidst tropical foliage on the beach
