OBLU SELECT Sangeli is a vibrant and chic island paradise. The island is great for families thanks to the fantastic kids club and family suites which are some of the largest in the Maldives. We would also highly recommend this resort to couples, as it boasts an adult-only island connected to the main island by a jetty. Days can be spent on the pristine white beach or exploring the vibrant house reef, enjoying gourmet cuisine and superb all inclusive inclusions.
Accommodation at OBLU SELECT Sangeli is in colourful, contemporary villas on the beach or over the water, some with private plunge pools. The beach villas and majority of the resort’s facilities are located on one island, while a jetty lined with water villas leads to a smaller, adults-only island called One Banyan, where more facilities are found along with the Honeymoon Water Suites.
We were very impressed by the cuisine at OBLU SELECT Sangeli. Dining experiences include the main buffet restaurant with live cooking stations, a gourmet vegetarian option and a grill restaurant serving fresh seafood and meat. Guests can sample all these options as part of the ‘Serenity Plan’, which includes a number of á la carte fine dining experiences per week at JustWok and Just Grill Restaurants depending on length of stay.

There is a PADI dive centre and a house reef within easy reach of the shore, allowing guests to explore the vibrant underwater world of the Maldives. A warm welcome upon arrival makes it hard not to fall in love with this resort from the moment you step onto the jetty. Lunch at Just Wok was stunning, accompanied by impeccable service, and was quite possibly my favourite meal of the trip.
OBLU Select Sangeli offers 137 detached villas across 6 categories located across the island, with a contemporary and colourful style. The water villas connect the main island to the adults only One Banyan Island, where the romantic Honeymoon Select Ocean Villas can be found. All villas have a king size bed, air conditioning and ceiling fan, Wi-Fi, complimentary minibar replenished daily, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen television, bathrobes and slippers, in-villa safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and telephone.

Dining: Stays at OBLU Select Sangeli are on an all inclusive basis. The Courtyard is Sangeli’s main restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with international buffets, Maldivian dishes plus a la Carte options. Just Wok offers Contemporary Pan-Asian cuisine for lunch and dinner. Just Grill is open for lunch and dinner and offers gourmet seafood and meats cooked over the grill and served in a relaxed setting overlooking the lagoon. The Sangs is the main pool bar, open from sunrise to sunset. The Rock is set on stilts over the lagoon and is open for sunset drinks. One Banyan Island Pool Bar is in the adults only section of the resort and is open from sunrise to sunset
