Spacious beach and water villas

With just 76 contemporary villas, Nova has the feel of an intimate resort, whilst offering plenty of space for guests to enjoy seclusion on the island’s beautiful beaches. Villas are located either on the beach or over the water, and offer bright and airy accommodation with minimalist designs that create a homely atmosphere. Some villas boast the added luxury of a private Jacuzzi or private pool, and interconnecting options are available for families. Our personal favourites are the water villas, which are incredibly spacious and offer stunning, uninterrupted views.

Fine cuisine and a wonderful atmosphere

The restaurants at Nova all have one thing in common - they offer delicious, fresh cuisine accompanied by a wonderful atmosphere. Dining options range from international cuisine at Soul Kitchen to Teppanyaki at Mizu and grilled seafood at Flames. We would recommend opting for the island’s all inclusive package, which includes dinner at Flames, but be sure to book in advance as this beachside dining venue is very popular! Solis swim-up pool bar is a great place to relax during the day, and for some evening entertainment, head to the main bar where an excellent house band regularly plays.

Explore the waters of the South Ari Atoll

The South Ari Atoll is one of the best places to see whale sharks and manta rays all year around. With a dive centre offering a range of courses for all ages and abilities, guests at Nova can explore vibrant reefs, nearby shipwrecks, and encounter spectacular marine life. A range of motorised and non-motorised watersports are also available for those keen to get out on the water, whilst those seeking relaxation can enjoy the wellness facilities offered by the Eskape Spa, which boasts a stunning setting on stilts over the lagoon.

Our opinion

I loved the atmosphere at Nova, and the pool area is a lovely place to sit and relax with a cocktail. I usually prefer a beach villa but I was actually very impressed with the water villas here - they are some of the most spacious I have stayed in.

Room Types

Nova Maldives offers 76 bright and contemporary villas that are located either steps from the beach or in a stunning overwater setting. Villas are decorated with neutral whites and warm materials, with custom made furniture and minimalistic interiors. All villas feature king-size beds, rainfall showers, Apple TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities, minibar, air conditioning and ceiling fan.

Children: Children are welcome at Nova Maldives, but please note that the island does not have a kids club. We consider the resort to be more suited to couples or older families

Wink is the island’s main bar and serves light meals and pizzas throughout the day, as well as an extensive selection of beverages late into the evening.
