Welcome to Komandoo

Komandoo Island Resort is an adults-only resort occupying an intimate island in the Lhaviyani Atoll. This charming, tropical island is home to a 40 year old coconut plantation with white sandy beaches and surrounded by a turquoise lagoon. A magnificent house reef provides excellent snorkelling and diving, and this is a great place to see mantas, turtles or rays. It is easy to see why so many clients return year after year, and as one of the most popular, adult-only resorts in the Maldives you will need to book early!

Villas with classic Maldivian charm

The island's luxury accommodation is located either on the beach or over the water. The wooden villas are classically Maldivian, offering plenty in the way of comfort and charm. If you prefer to be on the beach, we’d recommend upgrading to one of the Jacuzzi Beach Villas, where you can relax in your own Jacuzzi bath set on a terrace within your secluded tropical garden. The Jacuzzi Water Villas on the other hand are set on wooden stilts in the beautiful south lagoon with steps down to the water and a Jacuzzi bath with views over the water.

From show cooking to romantic dinners

The main restaurant at Komandoo is an extensive buffet restaurant with show cooking stations and a selection of cuisines and wines from around the world. Guests can also enjoy fine dining in an intimate over-water restaurant, which offers a wonderful atmosphere for a romantic dinner. It is also possible to dine at the exclusive 5.8 Undersea restaurant at Komandoo's sister resort, Hurawalhi, which is the world's largest all-glass undersea restaurant and is just a few minutes away.

Access to over 40 dive sites

One of the most popular activities at Komandoo is diving, and with more than 40 dive sites within a 45 minute boat trip from the resort, we can see why! Guests can also enjoy diving or snorkelling on the vibrant house reef, located just off the beach. Back on the island, there are plenty of opportunities to relax, with a visit to Duniye Spa a must for those looking for a little indulgence. Alternatively if you feel like getting off the island, why not set sail aboard the island's luxury sailing yacht for a day of cruising the Indian Ocean?

Villas at Komandoo are spacious and in keeping with traditional Maldivian style. Each villa offers, Wi-Fi, a four-poster bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, minibar, in-room safe, telephone, TV, Espresso machine, bathrobes, hairdryer and a terrace with sun loungers.
