The resort is located on Mudhdhoo island, which is part of the Maldives first UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve and has a vibrant house reef that surrounds the entire island. For us, two of the most important factors when choosing a Maldives resort are excellent dining options and a good house reef, and Dusit Thani Maldives certainly ticks both these boxes!

The villas at Dusit Thani are stunning. We stayed in a beach villa, which was just steps from a beautiful stretch of soft, white sand beach and offered plenty of privacy. The island itself boasts plenty of lush greenery, meaning that there is always plenty of shade to be had whilst exploring and I liked that bikes were available for guests to use to move around the island. We couldn't help noticing the attention to detail that went into everything, from the artistic crepes the chefs were making for the children at breakfast to the tropical decoration on our bed upon arrival.
Villas are located throughout the island both on the beach, with plenty of privacy provided by the lush vegetation, and on stilts over the water. All villas offer authentic Maldivian charm with Thai flourishes and feature a king bed, mini bar, Nespresso coffee machine and tea making facilities, LED Interactive TV, in-villa safe, complimentary Wi-Fi, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers, pillow menu, premium bathroom amenities and outdoor rain shower as well as butler service and buggy service within the resort.
