None of the Maldives hotels featured by Tropic Breeze employ a pool attendant or lifeguard, so never permit your children to swim in a hotel pool without adult supervision. Remember, always check the depth of a pool before entering it and never dive into a pool unless you are certain it is sufficiently deep.
Many pool surrounds can become slippery when wet, particularly if sun tan oil has been spilt. Please be especially careful when walking around the pool or indeed on any other wet, tiled surface.
When swimming or snorkelling in the sea in the Maldives, always check local conditions. There are many dangerous currents and uneven sea beds in the Maldives, and there are no warning signs or lifeguards.
A full passport, with at least 6 months remaining unexpired at the end of your holiday is required for all destinations in the Maldives offered by Tropic Breeze.
Children now require their own passport, but if they are already named on a valid passport, they can continue to travel with that adult until they become 16 or the passport is submitted for alteration or renewal. Full details can be found at www.gov.uk.
Non UK passport holders may require a visa and should seek advice from the relevant consulate.
At the time of writing, there are no mandatory vaccinations for the Maldives. However, several vaccinations / boosters are recommended, and you should consult your doctor at least 12 weeks prior to your departure for relevant advice.
