The Cotton House is the only hotel on Mustique, which is in the heart of the Grenadines and arguably one of the most exclusive Caribbean islands. The property is thought of as one of the Caribbean's leading luxury resorts and is one of the most sophisticated resorts we have had the privilege of visiting.
Exclusive rooms, cottages and suites blend elegant décor with traditional West Indian charm. Some cottages are standalone and tucked away in the pretty gardens, whilst others offer stunning sea views and a private infinity pool. Our recommendation would be to opt for a Deluxe Sea View room, which offers both those spectacular views and the luxury of a plunge pool.
The weekly champagne and canapés at the Great Room Bar are enjoyed by both hotel guests and owners of the ultra-luxury villas on the island, making this an incredibly exclusive social event. Guests can indulge in gourmet cuisine that fuses Italian fine dining with Caribbean flavours, and a laid back Beach Café offers a casual venue to sample fresh seafood and homemade ice cream.
The pace of life at The Cotton House is relaxed, and this is the perfect hotel if you simply want to escape from the everyday and be treated like royalty by the attentive staff. There are no cars on Mustique, but it is possible to hire a Mini-Moke, which is ideal for exploring the island. We would highly recommend taking a picnic and heading to one of the island’s secluded beaches - it’s likely that you will have the place entirely to yourself!
Cotton House is one of those unique properties that is incredibly sophisticated and delivers everything to the highest standard, yet also feels incredibly relaxed. The staff can’t do enough for you and the food is incredible - I was lucky enough to be there for lobster night on the beach!
All rooms and suites at the Cotton House are elegant and offer air-conditioning, ceiling fans, a mini-bar, Nespresso coffee machine, in-room safe, TV with DVD player, telephone, Wi-Fi and bathrobes and slippers.
Location: The Cotton House is located on the north coast of Mustique, which is reached by a short flight from Barbados. You will be met upon arrival on the island and taken to the hotel.
Children: Children are welcome at The Cotton House, however please note that there are no family facilities
Facilities: Swimming pool, spa, tennis, non-motorised watersports including boogie boards, snorkelling, windsurfing, paddle boarding and kayaking, Mule (motorised buggy) hire
Dining: Stays at Cotton House are on a half board or full board basis. The Veranda is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves gourmet Italian and Caribbean fusion cuisine. Beach Café is open for lunch and offers seafood and light bites in a beachfront setting. The Great Room is a charming bar and is the perfect place to enjoy afternoon tea or a classic cocktail
