Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort is set between the spectacular Piton Mountains and has the only white sand beach in the south of the island. It has to be one of our favourite locations on the island and is hard to beat if you are looking for an exclusive tropical escape. The hotel is built in the grounds of an 18th century sugar mill and offers luxurious accommodation for discerning couples and families.

Clusters of villas are set amid lush vegetation and promise breath-taking views, with even the entry level guest rooms offering a private walled garden, outdoor plunge pool and butler service. At the centre of Sugar Beach resort is the Great House, a colonial-style plantation house which now houses two of the resort’s dining venues: Saltwood offering Caribbean influenced fine dining and The Terrace serving delicious breakfasts. The resort also offers two beachfront dining options, with Jalousie Grill and Bonte Restaurant and Bar both offering relaxed dining in a spectacular setting.
Sugar Beach caters well for families and offers a range of watersports, including sailing and kayaking, as well as plenty of leisure activities back on dry land. There is also an excellent dive centre on site, and snorkelling trips and boat tours can be arranged. For those seeking relaxation, The Rainforest Spa has seven tree house treatment rooms and offers a wide range of treatments, including a signature Bamboo massage. Or you could simply relax in one of the poolside cabanas!

I loved the style of the property, which blends colonial touches with chic and contemporary designs, and the views of the Pitons are simply stunning.
Rooms, cottages and villas at Sugar Beach are luxurious and secluded, with stylish white decor creating a sense of light and space. All rooms offer a four-poster bed, a private terrace with plunge pool, large bathrooms with a walk-in shower, butler service, bathrobes and slippers, Nespresso machine and tea making facilities, mini-bar, in-room safe, flat-screen TV, telephone and WiFi. A shuttle service is available to and from the main resort facilities for the accommodations further up the hillside.

Children: Children are accepted all-year round at Sugar Beach. The Sugar Club is available for children aged 4 - 12 (children under 4 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult) and the Spice Club offers a range of activities for teenagers. Babysitting is available on request

Saltwood Restaurant is open for dinner and offers Caribbean influenced fine-dining. The Cane Bar serves a South-East Asian inspired menu with small sharing plates available for dinner. Boopa’s is a grab ‘n go café serves baked goods, sweet treats and smoothies. Jetty Burgers is a casual spot at the South Pier Bar where guests can enjoy a burger in the afternoon.
