Why visit St Kitts?
St Kitts is a charming island with picturesque plantation houses, rainforested hills, uncrowded beaches and friendly locals. The island forms a nation along with neighbouring Nevis, which is separated by a 2km channel known locally as ‘the narrows’. For many years sugar and tobacco growing dominated the landscape of St Kitts and while no longer a major contributor to the island's economy, many local people are still employed in its cultivation and processing.

Scenic trails and breath-taking views
St Kitts is a relatively small island and in five hours you can cycle around the entire island, taking in the breath-taking views along the way such as historical sites, tropical gardens and secluded beaches. For those who prefer hiking, there are plenty of trails which can be explored with a guide. For example, you can hike up Mount Liamuiga, a dormant volcano which offers stunning views from the summit and is the island's highest point. Another way to explore the island is on board the Sugar Train, a scenic railway that travels along the coastline with a group of a cappella singers.
