The Caves Hotel is a colourful and quirky all inclusive resort on the west coast of Jamaica, located close to Negril’s seven mile long beach. This unique property is perched on the top of limestone cliffs, allowing for stunning ocean views from the top of the property and spectacular sea caves underneath, from which the resort takes its name!
The Caves Hotel comprises twelve unique cliffside cottages. With colourfully painted wooden facades and thatched roofs, each cottage is bursting with character but also feels cosy and homely. The majority of cottages have ocean views, and there are two bedroom options available for friends travelling together or older families.
Whilst staying at The Caves you can enjoy authentic Jamaican cuisine as part of the all-inclusive package, from jerk barbequed chicken to rock shrimp simmered in coconut milk. Guests can enjoy dining in a variety of settings, including the charming Bamboo Terrace dining room and al fresco at The Gazebo with stunning ocean views. For something special, guests can reserve a private cave dining experience lit by candlelight. The Caves is also home to The Blackwell Rum Bar, where you can enjoy a glass whilst taking in views of the turquoise waters from a unique grotto setting under the limestone cliffs.
The Caves Hotel offers a romantic island outpost for a holiday with the facilities and attractions of Negril close by. Those seeking relaxation can enjoy the infinity pool overlooking the ocean or indulge in a treatment at the Aveda Amenity Spa. Those looking to be more active can take a guided snorkelling expedition around the caves, make use of the resort’s complimentary non-motorised watersports or even hike the famous Blue Mountain coffee trail.
The breath-taking natural cave formations that surround The Caves are the perfect spot for a swim and a snorkel. We were lucky enough to see dolphins whilst we were there, which was just an incredible sight.
The Caves has 12 colourfully decorated cottages in a range of one or two bedroom configurations. Each room features air conditioning, a ceiling fan, a mini bar with local drinks and snacks, bathrobes and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Dining: Stays at The Caves are on an all inclusive basis. Bamboo Terrace is the main dining room and offers drinks and homemade treats throughout the day and night. The Gazebo serves breakfast in an al fresco setting with ocean views. The Sands is a beach bar open throughout the the day and into the evening, open to the public a couple of nights a week when they serve their famous jerk chicken. The Blackwell Rum Bar is set within the caves and offer a unique spot to enjoy a drink in the evening
