GoldenEye is a luxurious hotel in Oracabessa Bay on the north coast of Jamaica, originally built as a five bedroom villa by Ian Fleming in 1949. It was designed to be used as a retreat, and was his chosen place to write all 14 of the James Bond novels. Over the decades GoldenEye has been visited by many of the world's most glamorous writers and musicians. Today, this laidback chic beach resort offers an authentic Jamaican escape for the discerning traveller.
The unique accommodation at GoldenEye comprises a collection of colourfully painted beach huts, cottages set right on the edge of a tranquil lagoon and elegant villas. Accommodations feature custom-made furnishings and luxury touches, such as the claw foot baths that can be found in the majority. Each accommodation is nestled between lush tropical gardens, private beaches and secluded coves, offering plenty of privacy and seclusion.
We love the laid back dining options on offer at Golden Eye, from the poolside Bizot Bar to the rustic rum bar on Button Beach. Guests can sample Jamaican specialities, such as Jerk BBQ and grilled fish, which is brought over by the local fisherman as soon as he lands. In-room or outdoor dining in the privacy of your cottage is also available and perfect for a romantic dinner under the stars.
GoldenEye is located in a stunning 52 acre site with an abundance of wildlife. Nature tours and garden walks are a must, and be sure to keep a lookout for the splendid parakeets, as well as other exotic flora and fauna. Jamaica has more than 255 bird species some of which are not found anywhere else in the world! Low Cay is GoldenEye’s main beach with 500 feet of smooth sand that is the perfect spot for a yoga session in the setting sun. The Field Spa meanwhile is located on the edge of the lagoon, and guests can choose to kayak or swim here for a massage in one of the open-air treatment rooms.

Goldeneye has three types of accommodation to offer its guests – villas, beach huts and the unique lagoon huts.
Location: GoldenEye is approximately 90 minutes drive from both Kingston and Montego Bay airports
Children: Children are welcome at GoldenEye but there is no kid’s club
Facilities: Swimming pools, spa, yoga and meditation, fitness sessions, tennis, watersports including kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing and snorkelling, deep sea fishing
Dining: Stays at GoldenEye are on a room only or all inclusive basis. Bizot Bar is open for breakfast and lunch and offers low-key dining in a poolside location. Bamboo Bar is a laidback rum bar right on the beach and specialises in Jamaican Jerk BBQ and grilled seafood. Shabeen is next to the pool and offers a relaxed setting for cocktails and drinks
