From volcanic landscapes to charming fishing villages
Guadeloupe is an archipelago in the Lesser Antilles consisting of six inhabited islands and several uninhabited islands. The country's main two islands are Grande-Terre and Basse-Terre, separated by a narrow sea channel called The Rivière Salée. Grand-Terre is famous for its beautiful beaches, sheltered bays and charming little seaside towns. Basse-Terre on the other hand is less developed and is home to the lush Parc National de Guadeloupe, boasting spectacular volcanic landscapes.
