Welcome to Guana Island

With 850 acres, Guana Island is one of the largest of the British Virgin Islands and arguably one of the most private, tranquil hideaways in the Caribbean, with only registered guests permitted on island. Built on the foundations of an 18th century Quaker estate, Guana Island Club features stone cottages with fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea beyond the stunning White Bay Beach.

Sea view cottages and luxurious villas

All the guest rooms and villas at the private island resort have great views and are decorated with charming, old school Caribbean style. Sea View Cottages are set on the hillside and are naturally cooled by the breeze through wooden louvres, though air conditioning is also available. There are also four private villas available with one to four bedrooms, and featuring a private pool for the ultimate luxurious hideaway.

Farm-to-table cuisine

The focus of dining on Guana Island is farm-to-table cuisine. Local ingredients are supplements by produce from the island’s own organic orchard and home-baked breads. Guests are more than welcome to visit the Orchard during their stay, where they will find everything from papaya and passion fruit to breadfruit and sugar cane. Daily menus are curated depending on what is in season, ensuring that guests experience the finest and freshest local cuisine.

Sand, sea and seclusion

Guests will love the sand, sea and seclusion of Guana Island with its white sandy beaches, tropical foliage, mountain trails and even flamingos! There are plenty of activities on the island, from racket sports and watersports to hiking trails for those who like to be active. There are also plenty of excellent snorkelling opportunities, particularly on the island’s northern tip. For those seeking relaxation, the Hibiscus Spa is set just steps from the beach and offers a range of treatments that make use of ingredients from the organic Orchard. There is no better place to simply relax and recharge!

Our opinion

A stay on Guana Island is very special.  This private island resort offers unrivalled levels of understated luxury - space , tranquillity and privacy.  Apart from the stunning views I will always remember snorkelling off the jetty during the day and the spectacular lobster BBQ we enjoyed on the candlelit beach.
