Sugar Bay is a stylish all-inclusive resort in Barbados which caters extremely well for couples, families and groups. We love the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of this boho-chic resort, as well as its excellent location. Sugar Bay borders a 150 metre stretch of white sand beach and is connected to the restaurants, shops and beautiful beaches of the south coast by a boardwalk - perfect for getting out and exploring.
Accommodation is split between the Signature and Oceanfront Collections, with the primary difference being the location of the rooms. The Signature rooms offer views over the pool and gardens, whilst the Oceanfront rooms look out over the tranquil bay. The suites are ideally suited to families, providing plenty of space for everyone to unwind.
Sugar Bay offers a superb selection of dining options with four restaurants and five bars to choose from. Options range from Colin’s Beach Bar & Grill, which provides casual, al fresco dining for lunch in a setting that resembles a local rum shop, to UMI - an elegant Japanese restaurant offering Asian fusion specialities. Those wishing to sample some local cuisine can easily venture out along the boardwalk to one of the local cafes or beach bars.
Complimentary activities at Sugar Bay include beach volleyball and a range of non motorised watersports. There is also an excellent kids club for younger guests to enjoy. Although the hotel is set on a wonderful stretch of beach, it is worth exploring some of the other beaches along the south coast and sampling a rum punch at a local beach bar. Other attractions in the area include windsurfing, banana boat trips, scuba diving and swimming with turtles to name but a few.

Sugar Bay was a real hit for me and I think it’s got something for everyone. Families won’t be disappointed with the seemingly endless facilities and activities and couples will definitely enjoy the adults only restaurant and brand new beach bar which give the resort a really chic feel. Everyone seemed to be smiling at Sugar Bay and, to me, that says it all.
