The Verandah is an all-inclusive, adults only hideaway on Antigua’s north-east coast. We love the layout of this resort, with suites perched on small cliffs leading down to white sand beaches. With spacious suites and villas and extensive resort facilities, The Verandah feels a little like a small village and is the perfect place for couples or groups of friends looking to unwind and indulge.
The suites at The Verandah are set in a variety of locations throughout the resort, offering either garden, ocean or waterfront views. Set in single storey cottages, the suites have the feel of a charming beach house. If you are looking for a little more luxury, then why not upgrade to one of the luxurious two bedroom villas, which are set at the top of the hill where there is a separate pool exclusively for the use of villa guests.
With a choice of six restaurants, you can look forward to indulging in delicious and varied cuisine during your stay at The Verandah Antigua. From elegant fine dining at Nicole’s Restaurant to casual seafood at Sails & Tail Bar & Grill, there is something to suit all tastes. There are also several bars where you can enjoy your favourite tipple and evening entertainment.
One of our favourite facilities at The Verandah is their 18-hole miniature golf course, complete with a self-service bar. Whether you are travelling as a couple or a group of friends, there is nothing quite like a competitive game of mini golf! Guests can also choose between two beaches, with a range of non-motorised watersports available, from Hobie Cat sailing to glass bottom kayaks. If you can be tempted away from the beach, a visit to the nearby Devil Bridge National Park is worthwhile to admire its landmark arch.
I loved the layout of The Verandah - it feels like a little village, with suites set in charming cottages dotted around the spacious grounds. The atmosphere is fun and lively, and this would be a great place to come with a group of friends.
