Chantelle tells us about her visit to Jamaica in her fantastic Jamaica trip diary…
After a 9 hour flight with British Airways we touched down at Kingston Norman Manley International Airport, the sun was setting and the temperature a wonderful 30 degrees. We continued through customs and immigrations – I highly recommend the fast track service which costs just $30 and includes a meet and greet service off the place – to the arrival hall which was very modern and looked newly refurbished. After a short wait we were met by our friendly driver Ernest who took us to Strawberry Hill, one of the fantastic Island Outpost collection of properties founded by Island Records founder Chris Blackwell, perched 3,000ft above sea level and a 45 minute drive through the Mountain View Neighbourhood.
If you want to find out more about the ‘real’ Jamaica, you can read the rest of Chantelle’s Jamaica trip diary here!

I have to say I love Facebook, it is my guilty pleasure and although I have to use it for work (I do…promise!), I also love to use it for seeing my friends children grow up and connect with friends I left behind in London.
Recently I asked the question of my friends, “What does luxury travel mean to you?” and the responses were brilliant and came from far and wide and from people I haven’t actually seen for over 10 years! The power of social media.
Here are some of the comments my friends made, do you agree?
“A very comfortable mattress and pillows. Very high quality bed linen. Gorgeous bathroom, with luxury branded toiletries (Cowshed, Aveda etc). A faultless standard of cleanliness EVERYWHERE…. Staff that have been well trained, are always helpful and friendly but not intrusive and requests are never too much of effort. Carpets and decor are always maintained… Beautiful smells and fresh flowers…. Attention to detail. Hotel in Norfolk comes around to your room at about 10pm with hot chocolate, homebaked cookies + sloe gin all complementary!! That makes you feel spoilt.” by H Cohen
“A really comfortable bed and top quality linen plus being waited on quietly but efficiently!! And really good food to choose garden fresh veg and really good local meat.” by A Rednell
