Trish Wins Award For Being Top St Lucia Sales Person In UK And Ireland
Our Senior Travel Specialist Trish has been lucky enough to visit St Lucia twice in the last couple of months. On her first visit, she spent her time touring around the island, visiting hotels and taking part in plenty of exciting activities. She was then invited back earlier this month to take part in the Global Piton Awards, where she picked up the prestigious Chairman’s Award for Excellence in Sales for being the top selling tour operator agent in the UK and Ireland for St Lucia. These awards were organised by the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority and included cocktails and canapes with the Prime Minister of St Lucia, as well as an award ceremony and gala dinner. Congratulations to Trish on this fantastic achievement!

Exploring The Island
Trish had the opportunity to explore many of St Lucia’s attractions over the course of her two trips. A particular highlight for her was a trip to Pigeon Island National Park, where she enjoyed an afternoon on the beach soaking up the atmosphere of this beauty spot. Another popular place to visit on the island is the Sulphur Springs, where visitors can bathe in the mud baths of the dormant Soufriere Volcano. Trish visited the springs, but couldn’t quite be persuaded to go for a dip! She did however take part in ziplining in the rainforest, which was a lot of fun and not as scary as she thought it would be. She also enjoyed a trip to the Gros Islet street party, which takes place every Friday night and is a great spot to enjoy some delicious food, rum and St Lucia culture.
Hotel Highlights
Over the course of her two trips, Trish visited a wide range of amazing hotels. St Lucia has a wonderful selection of properties, so whether you are travelling as a couple or a family, looking for adventure or tranquillity, there will be something to suit. There were however some hotels that really stood out to her.
Ladera Resort
“The rooms at Ladera are amazing – all have a heated pool with a swing and the fourth wall missing so that guests can make the most of those incredible views. The hotel has everything, from a hiking trail and outdoor wooden gym to a games room and hot tub. The food was exceptional and the service outstanding, with butler service included with every suite. Ladera is a real hidden gem”
Calabash Cove Resort & Spa
“I was really impressed by the warm welcome upon arrival at Calabash Cove. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. This adults only hotel has a secluded beach and the grounds are very pretty, giving the hotel a real feeling of tranquillity. The restaurant at Calabash Cove is meant to be one of the best on the island and I can confirm the food was excellent!”
Anse Chastanet Resort
“The staff at Anse Chastanet made us feel so special from the moment we arrived. This hotel has always been a favourite of mine as the location is stunning and the rooms are all so unique, each with an amazing view. You can do as much or as little as you want here, with a great range of activities on offer. The resort has two beaches, and with a marine park right off the shore it is a great option for keen snorkellers and divers.”
East Winds
“I loved everything about East Winds. The beach is great, with calm seas for swimming, the staff are fabulous and the gardens are beautiful. I particularly enjoyed our barbeque lunch there, which was accompanied by a live steel band and a really nice atmosphere. East Winds is great for couples wanting a true Caribbean experience with good food and wine.“
The Landing Resort & Spa
“The accommodation at the Landings is so spacious and would be great for families, with two and three bedroom suite options available. There is a kids club and a daily activity schedule, as well as a spa with an excellent range of treatments. With lots of attractions within easy reach of the hotel, The Landings is also a good option for those wanting to get out and explore the island.”
