We have compiled this “to do list”, making the most of the natural beauty and local culture -giving you the opportunity to create some incredible memories.
Sea Plane Arrival
Not only are sea planes the the most time efficient and practical method of transport between Islands in the Maldives( not to mention probably the finest arrival you will make anywhere!), there is no comparison to flying over the sparkling turquoise waters and admiring the many atolls and sand banks before descending into your resorts lagoon. An unforgettable memory.
Diving & Snorkelling
The Maldives offer snorkelling and diving in such unique surroundings – seeing really is believing. Make sure your resort offers a good house reef or a daily boat trip to the nearest local reef. You are bound to spend most of your time under the water. If you are an avid diver be sure to research (or speak to our team) on the changes of current directions and the affect this can have on the movement of the Whale Sharks- high on many divers must see list!
Sand bank dining experience
Most resorts have a nearby sand bank that they will set up for a private picnic or early evening dinner. Our suggestion is to arrange a daytime private picnic, take your snorkelling gear, towels and enjoy a day of isolation and serenity with that someone special!
Visit a local Island
Travel is often enhanced by meeting local people, trying local food and understanding the nature and skills of local communities. Many resorts offer day trips to local islands where you can visit a local school, watch how traditional boats are hand carved and try local food. A great way of experiencing more than the white sand beaches and luxury resorts.
