Sun Siyam Vilu Reef Maldives is a luxurious island resort with one of the most amazing beaches that we have ever seen! Small and intimate with expansive white sand beaches fringed by a superb aquamarine house reef, this island is one of our favourites for couples and honeymooners. Sun Siyam Vilu Reef Maldives was named 'Indian Ocean's Leading Water Villa Resort' at the 2017 World Travel Awards.
The all-inclusive resort occupies Meedhuffushi Island in South Nilhande Atoll, 145 km south of Male Airport and reached by a 35 minute seaplane flight - a dedicated seaplane lounge at Male airport allows guests to relax or freshen up before the onward journey.
Recently refurbished accommodation is split between 10 different villa categories, from a Beach Villa to the Presidential Suite. All villas offer laid back luxury either on the beach or over the lagoon, with brightly coloured fabrics and comfortable furnishings.
With a range of complimentary and chargeable activities available, Sun Siyam Vilu Reef Maldives allows guests to have the tranquil castaway experience with the option to explore the water surrounding them. Complimentary activities include swimming pools, tennis, a children’s playground, fitness room, badminton and evening entertainment, while chargeable activities include catamaran sailing, diving, kite boarding, windsurfing, fishing and much more. The island's house reef is superb while stingrays can be seen from the beach. There is also a small spa which offers a range of Ayurvedic rituals, aromatherapy massages and other relaxing treatments.
Sun Siyam Vilu Reef Maldives offers guests a range of dining options, such as fresh grilled seafood and fish at The Well Done, Italian specialities for lunch and Indian cuisine for dinner at The Spice and an international buffet at Aqua Restaurant. There is also the Nautilus serving handcrafted cocktails in a scenic sunset setting. Lovers of wine will enjoy the Wine Cellar, boasting a fantastic range of speciality wines and vintage treasures. A stunning house reef and a beach that comes to as close to paradise as it gets. Sun Siyam Vilu Reef is not to be missed.

Children: Children are welcome all year round. There is a kids club which is free of charge for children aged 3 - 11 years old, plus chargeable babysitting and childcare. Water villas are not recommended for young children.
Transfers: 45 minutes by seaplane (NB Luggage allowance strictly 20kg including 5kg hand luggage).
Complimentary Facilities: Use of snorkelling equipment and non-motorised water sports (2 hours per day for certain activities), swimming pools, fitness centre, volleyball, tennis, badminton, table tennis and darts. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in the main public areas and in all villas. Access to the kids club is free of charge for children aged 2 - 11 years old.
Facilities Available at a Local Charge: Spa treatments, snorkelling, game fishing, dive centre, watersports including windsurfing and catamaran sailing.
Check In/Out: Guests are asked to check in from 14.00 and to check out 12.00.
Meal Arrangements: Stays at Sun Aqua Vilu Reef Maldives are on an all-inclusive basis comprising of a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner plus afternoon tea. A three course set menu is also available at Well Done & The Spice for lunch and dinner as an alternative to the main buffet restaurant. A range of unlimited drinks are offered throughout the day and night, including a choice of wine by the glass, beer, some spirits, soft drinks and some cocktails. Also included are a dolphin sunset cruise or a local island hopping excursion, one hour of non-motorised watersports per person per day, use of snorkeling equipment and access to the recreation and fitness centre.
Bars & Restaurants: Aqua Restaurant is the resort's main restaurant, offering an international buffet on a deck over the lagoon with a weekly Maldivian theme night. Well Done is open for lunch and dinner, serving fresh fish and seafood on the beach. The Spice serves Italian specialities during the day and Indian cuisine for dinner. Positive Energy is a pool bar where guests can enjoy snacks and beverages throughout the day (closed from November 23). Nautilus occupies an over-water deck and serves drinks and finger food, while the Wine Cellar is an exclusive venue which is open every evening for food and wine pairings.
Accommodation
There is an array of colourful villa accommodation either on the beachfront or on stilts above the lagoon, all with a private terrace and spacious bathroom. All of the air-conditioned villas feature free Wi-Fi, a minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, bottled drinking water (replenished daily), a safe, flat screen satellite TV, iron and ironing board and hair dryer. Bathrooms feature a rain shower and bathtub.
Deluxe Beach Villa: These detached villas are set within landscaped gardens just a few steps from the beach and lagoon featuring a king size bed, a small dressing room, a partially open-air bathroom and a comfortable terrace with sun loungers. The Deluxe Beach Villa has the addition of a wooden sundeck featuring a Maldivian-style swing. Maximum occupancy: 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 children. (78sqm)
Beach Villa with Pool : These detached villas are set within landscaped gardens just a few steps from the beach and lagoon featuring a king size bed, a small dressing room, a partially open-air bathroom and a comfortable terrace with sun loungers. Aqua Villa with Pool: These villas are built on stilts over the lagoon and have a sundeck, sun loungers and direct access to lagoon. Other features include a king size bed, an enclosed bathroom. The Aqua Villa has an extended sundeck with private plunge pool and a hammock suspended over the lagoon. Maximum occupancy: 3 adults or 2 adults + 1 child. (90sqm)
Grand Water Villa with Pool: These are similar to the Aqua Villas but are more spacious and feature a king size canopy bed and a separate living area. Maximum occupancy: 3 adults or 2 adults + 1 child. (110sqm)
Two Bedroom Water Villa with Pool : These suites are the height of luxury and are located at the northern tip of the resort. Suites feature a private infinity pool on a double-level wraparound deck, a glass walled living room, two king size bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, a well-stocked kitchenette and spacious dining room.
