Why visit Grenada?
Grenada, the most southerly of the Windward Islands, is known as the 'Spice island' of the Caribbean. The island is graced by Grand Anse Beach, one of the world's most famous beaches which is a beautiful 2 mile stretch of classically Caribbean palm fringed foreshore. Many hotels and resorts are set beside the beach, allowing guests to walk straight from their room onto the soft, white sand. A holiday in Grenada allows you to come face to face with true Caribbean spirit, as tourism is much quieter than on some of the other islands.

From rainforests walks to superb snorkelling
It's worth taking time away from the beach to drive up into the mountains and enjoy the experience of a walk in the rainforest where you can visit beautiful mountain rivers and waterfalls which cascade down through the lush forest greenery. Alternatively try the sightseeing train in St. George, a comfortable and flexible way to discover this pretty capital, or visit the Belmont Estate for a tour of a traditional cocoa plantation. Grenada also has some of the best spots for diving and snorkelling in the Caribbean, including the famous Underwater Snorkel Park. A visit to Grenada wouldn't be complete without a sighting of the sea turtles which nest along some of the island's sandy beaches.
