Why visit Barbados?
Barbados is one of Tropic Breeze's favourite Caribbean holiday destinations, with many members of the team having visited the island many times with their own families. With white sand beaches on the 'Platinum' west coast and more rugged scenery in the east, local rum shacks and gourmet restaurants, family-friendly activities and adults-only options, the island caters for all requirements.

60 miles of sandy beaches
The island's main attraction is the coastline, with 60 miles of superb sandy beaches which are lapped by warm waters where visitors can lay back and relax or take part in watersports. Inland, gently undulating hills are covered with lush vegetation, dotted with colourful gingerbread houses and former sugar plantations. There are plenty of things to see and do in Barbados away from the beach, from wandering around picturesque fishing villages to sampling rum at the Mount Gay Rum Distillery. Horse racing and cricket are also both popular. In the evening, visitors can dine in one of the many award-winning restaurants, watch live steel bands or jazz performances or visit one of the many nightclubs which are mainly to be found at St Lawrence's Gap in the south of the island.
